Mozart’s Serenade No 13 in G major, known as Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Mozart’s title), is a regular favourite with Classic FM listeners, and appears frequently on CD compilations of great Western music. The work is well known and justifiably admired the world over.
However, popular as it may be, the serenade is a work full of secrets and anomalies, and the lecture takes a fresh look at its music, its mysteries, and its large stock of anecdotes.
